Holiday Kitchen Gift Guide

It’s always this time of year that we long for larger kitchens.  Family and guests naturally gather in this space despite our best efforts to make the living areas as welcoming and cozy as possible.  Instead of fighting it, we have decided to embrace it this year.  Kitchens are the new dens serving as the heart of the house pulsing with life and setting the backdrop to some of our sweetest holiday memories.  There are several ways to embrace this universal trend.  If you or someone you love is most at home in a kitchen, we hope this gift guide provides inspiration.

Styling kitchens in a cozy way is actually fairly simple: add wooden accents, mix in a variety of metals, and hang original art.  A handmade vase filled with branches makes for a dramatic impact on a large island.   Seasonally changing the artwork to pieces that reflect the time of year is another way to freshen up a wall or shelf.  Creating interest and contrast against a stone countertop with a wood basket makes even the most ordinary of produce feel special.  Many of our kitchens have stainless appliances.  Adding in dimensional brass or copper wall art goes a long way.  If you have open shelving, try these cork-topped, glass spice containers for your go-to seasonings.  At the end of the day, we like to unwind with a cup of lemon & ginger water.  Pouring out of a vintage copper kettle elevates that nightly ritual.

We hope these ideas are something you can add to your own wish list or gift to one of your favorite home chefs.
